Whisky Liquors
Traditionally known as ‘Brose’ in Scotland

There are quite a few Whisky liquors, but I will describe just a few readily available. These are often referred to as the Pipers Dram.  Here are some old favourites:

Drambuie:
Aged Scotch together with Heather honey and a blend of herbs and spices, closely guarded secret recipe since 1745. It is the best known of this group  and is always well received as a after dinner dram. This can be found in the best hotels to many pubs in Australia.

Gyayva:
Exotic spices, tangerines, cinnamon and honey the dominate flavours. This is lesser known, but distinctive because it comes in a 500ml bottle.

Locnan Ora:
This is a blended Scotch whisky, with heather honey followed by a Smokey finish.

Dubliner:
This is an Irish whiskey, with a blend of honeycomb, caramel lollies and triple distillation.

Baileys Irish Liqueur:
Probably the best known of the Cream variety of Whiskey Liquors. It has fresh cream and whiskey, followed by a proliferation of lesser quality and price ones.

Canadian Club:
The Crown Royal is distinctive on its own and for adding flavours such as maple syrup; the distillery was founded in 1939.
